I have a Cisco 2501 which has IOS version 11 on it. (I can't recall the exact version at the moment.)

The ISO also supports IPX in addition to IP.

All appears to be well, with the ethernet and serial links.
All traffic is passing OK and both the IP & IPX routes are updating OK.

My problem is that a recent scan of the network, with a packet sniffer, warns that the router in question is broadcasting all 0's.

How can I cure this? Or do I even need to??

As a thoght I say if it isn't broken than do not fix it !!! I would check the cpu process

Router#sh process cpu

Try to determine if you are maxing out on any items .

Thank very much for your input. I'll give it a look.

I have noticed however that the config of RIP contains the line 'neighbour A.B.C.D'

Having removed this line from the config, the sniffer does not now report the problem.
Could it be that his broadcast is being bridged by the router?
