Hi Guys

I have a nokia 2501 connected to demon using an external ip range id need to connect this to my nokia ip650 and connect my internal network, and then use another port on the nokia to connect via VPN to a remote site. The bit I am stuck on trying to connect the cisco to the nokia and the to my LAN the only way I seem to be able to do it is to run NAT on the Cisco and then again on the nokia this seems long winded to me and I dont see how I can use all the other ip addresses I have been allocated please help.

Config I think I will have to run

CISCO(serial) ---->> Cisco(Ethernet)---->> Nokia --->Hub
193.195.90.193 NAT 10.0.0.1 10.0.0.2 NAT 192.168.25.1

Any help apreciated.

You don't actually need to use NAT on the Cisco in this configuration. You can use the addresses as they are and just add a static route on the Cisco:

ip route x.x.x.x 255.255.255.y 10.0.0.2

The source address of your packets will be fixed by the Nokia. The 10 subnet just becomes a transit network and the addresses shouldn't appear anywhere outside your network.

HTH,
Michael.

Thanks Michael,

So do I set the network port ip to 10.0.0.2? I am a bit confused as what to set my serial port to and what to set me ethernet adapter to.

Mike
