Cisco 2500

Hi all,

I need some help with cisco router 2500. This what it happens, I am trying to configure a cisco 2500 but until now no success.
When it boots, it shows me Router(boot)> and I have change the hostname for example, test, and then wr ter, reload and I have saved the configuration but it will come up, it still shows me Router(boot)>.

What I am missing?

Sounds like the config register is set to ignore the configuration. The 'Router(boot)' also tells us this is running the bootrom minimal IOS so either the config register is set to not boot the IOS in flash or the flash is empty.

Type 'show ver' on the console and post the output.
