Hello,

I have a Cisco 1800 Router that is connected to my firewall and our ISP Fibre line. I would like to use one of the free ports on the back of the Cisco to use a wireless router - to be able to access the Internet without having to go through the firewall. Currently I have the wireless router plugged into port 8 when I try to click "edit" it doesn't do anything. I have tried to create a port and nothing changes for port 8.

Any help would be appreciated. What steps do I need to follow on the Cisco router to ensure my linksys wireless will work?

Thanks

I was able to get this working. I setup DHCP on the port - and then ran the following Access-list update:

router>en
router#conf t
router(config)#access-list 10 permit 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
router(config)#ip nat inside source list 10 int fa0 overload
router(config)#ip nat inside source list 10 int fa1 overload
router(config)#exi
router#wr
