Cisco 1601 stuck in "router init" mode

thanks for the response gentleman, I have one question though. Once I change the config register and reset does that kick it into ROMMON mode, if it does, I'm all set with what to do from there. Thanks again!

Actually the hex 2102 put you out of the loop i think, so it wont go into rommon,the router will go into rommon if you press CTRL+BREAK when it is initializing
