We have a field office that connects to our office using a frame relay connection and they have a cisco 1600 and we have cisco 2600 router. Over the weekend there was a power outage and the power was down for about 3 hours, this is the only contributing factor I can see as to why they can't connect to our network-what else could be the cause. I believe it has to do with one of the cisco routers-I can't ping our local router here in the office and I'm waiting on the information from the ISP to find out the field offices router ip address and all that. What other troubleshooting steps can I take to resolve this issue. Thanks you guys!

I had a similar situation where the IOS of my Router got corrupted due to the power outage. I was not able to Ping to it & it lost connectivity with our branch office.

When I connected to the Router using console port on it; I discovered it was running under BIOS Mode which is not full-fledged IOS version.

I uploaded the IOS through console port afresh. The startup was still intact, so it saved re-configuration of the Router.

Regards

Thats good to know thanks buddy! I put in a troubleticket with the ISP just in case its not on their end. If not I'll look at the routers in more detail. Thanks.
