Ok , I'm trying to install two cisco 1004 isdn routers back to back, At first glance it can't be done because i don't have an isdn line emulator, BUT, Cisco has a leased-line option in its IOS. Now would'nt it be possible to cross connect the routers on pin 4 and 5 on RG-45 WAN connector (link light goes to on state). Using the leased-line command to avoid dialtone and other isdn line requirement should work? If not why? I'm really curious as to the technical reason behind it.
I've been working with the following commands:
-------
isdn leased-line bri 0
isdn switch-type ?????
-------
dan@kdb.ca ( Of course, i use these routers for my CCNA practice !
