hello all
we have a windows 2000 computer. origionally, the CIPE VPN client was put on this computer for using a VPN network connection via a 56k modem.
the need for the VPN client has diminished and we now need to use a standard dial up internet connection. we removed the vpn client as best we could as there was no un-installer provided. however, whenever we try to establish a dial up connection via the modem to an isp (such as the Microsoft referral service), the modem dials, rings and then drops the connection as soon as a connection to the isp is made.
could there possibly be a confliction with the vpn client occuring here?
any advice appreciated
Ian
