Is it possible to push incoming CID to a twinned extension? I have set Propogate Original Caller ID to YES for my SIP Trunk Group, however there is a red X next to it.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

i could be wrong but i dont think you can.

SIP usually needs to see a number that can be authenticated by the SIP provider to make that outgoing call and passing the CID from the original number when trying to make that call out would be rejected.

like i said, i could be wrong but thats my original thought process.

I suspect you are correct alex. Was hoping that perhaps I was missing something.

Thanks

Highly doubtful on this one. Most of my SIP carriers require the outbound caller id (to the twinned Ext) match one of the customers DID's or BTN to route the outbound call.

I would say it is more a factor of what the Telco will accept but I don't know the 5000 well enough to say for sure.

On a 3300, definitely Telco controlled 100%
