OK ON A CICS THERE IS A SERIAL PLUG RJ11 ON IT CAN YOU GET TO THE IRAD THAT WAY WITH A DIRECT CONNECT.

Serial is serial and RJ is RJ

The RJ your looking at is the power fail jack.
This can be looped to a power fail jack at reception, should the system loose power or crash you can have line 1 atcive still.
However most of us probably just loop the CO to KSU and to the power fail jack at reception.

IM JUST TRYING TO FIG OUT HOW TO DO A BACK UP WITH OUT NO CO LINES. ON A FAST RAD I CAN GO INTO IT VIA DIRECT CONNECT. THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY

CANT DO IT, THE SYSTEM WILL NOT LET YOU TRANSFER A STATION TO THE IRAD. IT HAS TO BE A CO LINE.

Then call out of IATA and back into your main line.

A Fast RAD is an external device, if you want direct connection to a Fast RAD then buy one and hook one up to a digital port.

Treat it as an Operated assisted call (F817) and it should let you transfer to the RAD.
