I finally got around to booting one of my systems up with the old 4.2 software. When the system booted, I did a Startup, and then, when the system said Applying Template, I powered it down. It worked. I was able to successfully reboot with the 7.x software in place of the 4.2. Everything appears to be good to go now. Many thanks to all who provided info and assistance on this issue.
