I should know this, but must have forgotten
is voicemail transfer via a key on a reception CAP module on a CICS "supposed to" work?

i have one customer that just had me toss a CAP on reception and i can't get it to do the feature 986 from a CAP button. It can be done from any phone in the office, just not from the CAP!

done searches and don't seem to be able to find a definitive answer!

thanks for any insight

Do you mean you can't program one of the buttons on the CAP as F986?

I have "transfer to voicemail" (f9986) programmed on the M7324 reception set, and i have the extensions programmed on the CAP attached to the M7324. she can "transfer" to an extension programmed on the cap, but can't do a voicemail transfer and then hit the button on the CAP

its a small office and really only needed VM xfer to 9 people, most of their transfers of "normal calls" go outside the system, but they have about 9 internal people that she wanted to just do vmail xfer to their mailboxes when those 9 were out of the office

was just curious if i had forgotten something. I didn't think i ever had it working like that on any of my MICS or BCM customer's but i was not totally sure

most just do a transfer, to an extension and then let "forward no answer" to vmail work!

F986 is a direct transfer to a mailbox number. The autodial buttons transfer to extension numbers. I know that extension numbers and mailbox numbers match 99% of the time, but that is the reason why mailbox transfers must be manually input. For example, the GD mailbox (100) is often assigned to extension 221. So you would have to dial F986 and then dial 100 to send a caller to extension 221's mailbox.
