I'm having an issue where the two lines that are being used for a conference call won't disconnect when the caller hangs up. They will just sit there and say "In Use". Once I go pull the bridge clips off the 66 block, the lines release and work fine until the next conference call. Any ideas??

Make sure Supervised Disconnect is programmed under lines and that the Telco has done the same on their end.
Now known as C.O.D. with some Telco's (Cut Off on Disconnect)

Even if the CO says disconnect is being sent, make sure you check it at the demarc. Their records don't always match what's programmed in their switch.

I've had the same trouble with some telcos in the Toronto area. I always enable disconnect supervision on all lines and the problem will persist. It often requires openning a trouble ticket with the telco several times before they will acknowledge that there is a problem and take corrective measures. I've been told by one telco that COD cannot be sent on fibreoptic cables and so they must find copper pairs from the CO to the customer's site in order to get the COD working.

Regardless of fiber, they eventually hand you copper lines somewhere through some channel bank. This is the device that needs to be programmed to give you the COD signal.

Right. The CO's are their responsiblility up to the copper interface- regardless of where their fiber terminates. Why is a disconnect signal so hard for them to generate? They understand the technology, they've been doing it for decades.
