CICS Intercom

I give up! I have a CICS @7.1 with two intercoms. When there is a conversation between two ICM stations, another using the ICM causes what sounds like a call waiting tone that interupts the other conversation in progress. I am missing something.......

Brian, found the problem....apparently on voice calls (ICM), a tone comes on every 15 seconds that let's both parties know they are on an open mic@ both ends of the conversation. It can be elimiinated by pressing the mute key twice right after you hear the tone. First time I ever ran into it; the customer was using it as a direct handsfree conference between two stations. If the call is less than 15 seconds, no problem. The feature was originally intended to just announce transfered calls...I believe. Anyway, the mute thing works....

Same here I been installing Norstars since they first came out and I never heard of that. People have been complaining about that beep for years. The first DR releases never had a beep. thanks
