Hunt group 290:
Members: 221,222,223,224
Lines assigned: none
Overflow to 225
Mode: Broadcast
If busy: Overflow
Q Timeout: 30

Ext 225: Fwd no answer to 235
Mailbox exists for 225

When I ring the hunt group from an internal extension (dial 290), things flow like they should. When I ring it from an external line (CCR option 1, xfer to 290), the call rings for 30 seconds, then I get "the person you called is unavailable" and system exit.

Missed a programming step somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

Appreciate your help!

Check the DRT and Transfer Callback settings

Where do I find those? Sorry for my ignorance.

In system programming, DRT to Prime is set to "N" and transfer callback is set to "4"

Is there another setting for this, or should either of these be changed?

You need to remove all lines from the sets in the Hunt group and assign all lines that will ring in the HG to the HG.

The only line that is assigned to the sets is the "inside" line which is not handled by the AA. Do I need to remove that from all the sets?

I removed all line appearances from the hunt group phones and assigned the lines to HG 290. Still the same result, rings for several rings and on no answer, "the person you have called is unavailable."

Rings where?

It rings all the phones in the hunt group. If no one answers, it goes to the "not available" message instead of rolling to extension 225 and then to 225's VM.

And what happens when you call 225 directly? From intercom, from AA?

Seems as though it's going to a phone that's not plugged in but has no mailbox.

-Make sure the lines are not assigned to any other sets that are not plugged in
-For sets that are not in the Hunt Group but are plugged in and have line appearances make sure they are Appear Only
-Go to each line and make Prime Set = None

Thanks all for these tips. I've decided to change the way this group works, and now want to make it overflow back to itself (keep ringing until someone answers). I set up a new hunt group (HG3-292) for a different purpose and it defaulted to overflow to self. However, when I try to change the overflow extension for 290 to 290, I get "invalid overflow." Is there some different way to specify this, or, is there some way to reset all the hunt group settings to default?

Sorry, I just answered my own question. Queue is the setting I need.

Let's close this thread and I'll open another one.

Thanks all for your suggestions.
