In my quest to explore an update for an older 616 KSU system, I'm finding references for a CICS Callpilot bundle ntbu0722. I guess my web search skills are lacking as I can't find details on the incorporated components. Inbound Line capacity, Internal Sets etc. The cost of this bundle is attractive but I need to be sure it will support at least 4X16 out of the box.
Thanks

Well if this helps.

Maximum capability of a CICS is 8 analog lines by 24 extensions. From the box it comes 4 lines by 16 extensions.

The Voicemail (Callpilot 100) will come 4 channels with 10 mailboxes.

As far as being positively sure on how it will become equipped you will need to find out what software version you have. They make 2 major version, the restricted and the standard. You may want to inquire about the Expanded software with remote access built in.

Thanks, the resellers so far haven't a clue (so I posted here). The Sales Bundle Part number, NTBU0722 (as well as others) is published by Nortel Networks, so I was really hoping that there was a resource to explode the bundle part number into the included components. The price of the bundle is attractive $1100 +-, but I need to quote the all up cost.
Thanks

the following are included in the bundle (northamerican)

NTPW0078 Norstar CallPilot 100 with 10 mailboxes
NT7B58AAAN CICS KSU (110V)
NT7B65AACC CICS-SIP 6.1 S/W + Docs - Eng
NT7B75AAAE Global Analogue trunk card with CLID

you see bundles every so often and they are a pretty good deal. it's a sales thing to sell a bit more but at a more attractive cost to the customer.

If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.

The CICS bundle is an amazing package.

You get the 6.1 SW release with IRAD enabled (for remote support). This is the fully expanded version and will work 4 x 16 out of the box.

You get 1 Global CLID card (this card alone retails for over 1,000. (4 POTS lines)

You get CP100 with 10 mailboxes (retail $1,800)

And of course you get the CICS switch.

Retail for this bundle has been further reduced from 2,800 to 2,443 and if you buy from a legit channel partner, you get $400 in rebates making your total $2,043 + phones.

Thanks for all of the help, this is making sense!

One question I couldn't find the answer to. THe Call Pilot comes with 10 mail boxes. Does that 10 number include the General, System Admin and Announce Only boxes?

Thanks!

It is ten with the gen deliv and sys admin. There is no "annnounce only" box. (those two plus 8 more)

Thanks for the information on the 10 boxes. I used the wrong term for the Announce Only mailboxes. I should have used the term in the user guides, Informational Box. The ones that don't allow messages, and will hang up after the informational message completes. (Chapter 8 in the Callpilot Admin guide).

Thanks

the gendely and sysadmin mailbox are for FREE in Callpilot ...
so there are 10 usable mailboxes and any number of information mailboxes (dont know the limit)

Thanks for that answer! It's what I was hoping to hear!

Senks- are you saying that you get 10 mailboxes, plus the gen deliv, and sys admin (for a total of 12)? I have not found that to be the case in the CP's I have dealt with. All the ones I have worked on have come with 10 total. The gen deliv and sysadmin could be used for subscribers if you want, but under your scenario is sounds like you get 12 boxes. Of course you can always add more, but the 10 package has been 10 total. Can anyone confirm or correct me?

When you are adding the mailboxes via the ip configurator you will see the two boxes already existing then you will also see 10 mailboxes available. on the flash systems those two mailboxes were counted as part of the 24/48 that you got out of box.

Thanks for the clarification Senks and Jerry.
For some reason I just had it the other way in my mind. Looking back, I have even purchased mbx's without need.
