Please help!

I have a CICS system which i believe is a Version 1.9 (I'm still trying to get the exact part numbers). I have been trying to connect a Flash VM to this CICS system and can't get the CICS system to recognize the VM system. I know the Flash VM is working OK because I can connect it to another older 824 system and it comes up fine.

Is there some reason the CICS system won't recognize the Flash VM that I don't know about? Will a Call Pilot 100 work on the CICS system?

Any help would be appreciated.

all voicemail: flash, callpilot, nam, star talk have certain releases from the ksu that you can use with different voicemails if the software release will let you. sometimes it is a matter of wiring in the voicemail and see if the codes will let you get into the voicemail...981, 983, etc. but I have run into this several times and cannot seem to find a location or documentations to see what releases work with different voicemails. there is no plug and play.

The Flash should work.

What version is the KSU CICS?

What ports are you using? in case you have restricted software use ports 107 and 108 for the vmail.
Wait 5 miutes......check to see if maintenance shows it's connected.

You stumped me with "I have a CICS system which i believe is a Version 1.9" like Curlycord asked, "what version is the KSU ICSS" It makes a difference sometimes....

If you're looking at a call pilot, I'm pretty sure you'll need at least 4.1 sw on your cics.

For the flash- have you tried to plug a phone into the plug feeding to the flash? If it doesn't come up, then you could be on a bad port.

Like curlycord said, after you connect the flash, let it set for about 5-10 min. Then press f903.

RikRoders has the right answers on certain releases of a flash you have to f903 them to config, and on a CICS & MICS you must have at least 4.1 to run a CallPilot...
