If you are using F982 close and open business to manage message played, what happens if the business is closed and then the operator does a feature 984. Does it go to AA and will the night message answer? Sorry, do not have system to try on at this time....

what type of voicemail is attached to the cics?

f982 will engage a business closed greeting
f984 is a call forward code to vmail

you may end up sending calls directly to the operator mailbox if you do a ftr 984.

Well, I discovered F984 sends it to the GEN DEL MB even with business closed. The real issue I have is that the day message is answered by the AA after 6 rings as customer wants, but they would like the night message to be answered after 0 rings....I am going to try business open and night service combo....Not certain what will happen...Anyone know if this will work?

The business does not have to be closed to play the night message. Adjust the schedule to play the desired greeting at the start of night service whether this is done automatically or by pressing a night service button at the control set.
