I apologize if this question has been answered before. I read through the posts I could find and the answers seemed to bounce around different system configurations to the point that I just got more confused.

I have a Norstar CICS (7.1) system with two analog cards and an 8 extension add-in card, with Startalk 2.0.10. I have seen trunk cards advertised that say they are analog and support caller ID (one site shows as NT5B41/NT7B75). My refurb parts supplier, who has proven very knowledgeable in the past says that there is no card that will take POTS analog lines and pass the caller ID info to the system. Is he correct, or is there something we both could learn today?

Assuming he is incorrect and the system can do this, I did find plenty of programming advice while going through the forums.

Thanks

NT7B75aa supports caller ID. The card will have a CI on it, a card with DS does not. The Co must be set up to send caller ID and the system must be programmed for caller ID as well.

Actually, it turns out I asked him the wrong question. The way I asked it, he thought I wanted CICS to pass the CID to an analog device. Once I cleared that up, he gave the same answer as you did.

Thanks all!
