I ordered some of these and what I got were NTBB04GE. When installed the system won't boot up. After looking closer at the card, I see that there are fiber contacts and the label says "CICS FIBER/CLOCK CONTROL GEN.

What are these used for as I've never used them?

You can use these cards and add a fiber 0x16 module which you will get 8 extensions out of.

We've done this as a cheaper solution that buying the normal NTBB04 cards.

I believe these fiber cards also provide clocking for ISDN.

What software on the CICS? You may have to do a cold startup.

Marv: I've got 4.2 on the bench. I believe they're 6.1 if I remember right.

Numberonetelecom: You're right. Just connected via a fiber 0x16 and got ext's 257-264 on the 1st 8 ports. After that they just flash.

exsmogger: Can't say for sure as the only NAM I have here is copper, but don't see why not.

Guess I'm going to have to modify this quote if the supplier won't change them...

Thanks everyone.
