I am 99% sure that a CICS with 6.1

Can only support 8 lines Max
Can support 16 ext and be expnaded to 24 ext.

I am doing a quote against a Major Telco who claims you can expand beyond 8 lines.

Tell me it ain't so!

Hi guys, we just had this question a little while back. I too thought the same way as both of you. But in that particular post JerryReeve says something about a BRI card. In the beginning of most cics manuals it talks about the BRI cards. From what jerry was saying BRI cards can expand the system to 16 lines if I remember correctly. You may want to do a search of that particular post. Jerry if your out there add some more insight please. Maybe you can expand a little better. I'll repost if I find the exact thread this was talked about on. Hope that helps.

I got the thread where that info was. It is
thread799-739829. Hope that helps.

ISDN-BRI BASE RATE INTERFACE, WITH 2 TRUNK UNITS YOU GET 16 TRUNKS INSTEAD OF THE 8. BUT IF YOU LIVE IN THE STICKS, THE TELCO HAS NEVER HEARD OF THEM.
