CICS 4.0 restricted software

I have a customer with a CICS 4.0 restricted. They are wanting to upgrade to standard.
My question is if we are able to locate 4.0 standard, will the CICS need to be reprogrammed or just a simple swap out? I have not done one of these in about 10 years or so. I think that if upgrading to the latest version, it will definitely need to be reprogrammed, correct?
Customer is trying to not spend much money.

Its a CICS, 1 hour to re-program if that.
Plus you get rid of any glitches.
