OK I know this is an old system but it still works so why throw it out.
I decided to clean it out and do a statr up on the CICS " no problem here" set up 3 digit extensions all good so far, after thsi I decide to doa REINSTALL on the NAM loggen in no problem press 1 entered password. and NAM began to a REINSTALL.
so far so good. NAM completed its RE, Pressed F983 instead of getting LOG: I GET PSWD: i figures what the hell but it the the CONFIG password and lets me set up the Langage etc. when preess OK to start configuration it startrs and then stops and a message appears "cannot continue".
so after doing some searching looks like I need to telent and do teh following:
Goal: How to delete the SYSDIR.40 file in Voice Mail.

Fix: Access OS/2 from a monitor or via telenet over modem.
Shut down Voice Mail
From the ST directory type nvmutil
At Command? type shutdownnvm
Type t enter
Type q enter
Type del sysdir.40
Reboot the NAM
From the tool directory type namtool
Enter 2
Enter 3
When the Voice Mail is rebooted. Enter Feature 983 and 266344 to initialize Voice Mail.
ITAS then recommends rebooting the NAM and doing a reinstall.
Enter Feature 983
Enter system coordinator mailbox (1020000)
Enter 1
Enter ********** (REINSTALL)
Enter Feature 983
Enter ********(CONFIG) to initialize Voice Mail.
My problem is that I need to enter a password before I can gain access.
I have tries the only password I know (calgaryitas) and all other defaults Operator, config, reinstall, 1020000 etc. etc. no cigar.
doe sanyone know of any other password that can let me Telnet ointo this old NAM.
I guess its time to Throw it out after all.
