choosing domain takes forever 1

Hi,

When I add an XP machine to a 2000 domain, reboot the machine and then change the 'logon to' field from the computer name to the domain name, XP gives me the 'Please wait while the domain list is created' notification. This can last 5 minutes! I've seen this before, but never this long. Eventually, you can log on to the machine.

Does anyone know what's causing this behaviour?

Solved. I tought it was a DNS problem all the time, but they the settings on the DHCP server appeared to be correct. But now I've seen that the client is getting his settings from a non-authorized NT4 DHCP server.
