Hi,

I have created Consolidated Financial Statements and all my Data is there. I also created a Parameter for each report using Detail or Summary. Right now, I can't figure out how to make the report a Summary. For example, on my Income Statement, there are over 60 Accts for Total Operating Rev. I would like to Summarize Total Oper Rev and also for Oper Exp, Fixed Charges and so forth.

Can anyone give me a tip where I can do this.

Thanks - Jason

Do you have field that you could group records on that would give you the diffent groups that you are doing totals for?

If so you would have to use the section expert to make visible or invisible the parts you want to see.

Lets assume you have "Summary" and "Detail" in your parmeter.

For each section, right click and select section expert and click on X-2 next to suppress. Enter {parameter}="Summary" for detail sections and {parameter}="Detail" for summary sections. The point being tht you want to give the condition you want to suppress.

Hope this helps.

Thanks - I was going into the Section Expert, but I never could figure out if it was a Formula or if there was something I was missing to check.

Thanks again
