Hi,

If i want to choose between 2 lines to dial out on, can i do the following?:

SC: N
TN: N
LG: 0 (or 1 or whatever)
Feature: DIAL

I have seen examples but only with a prefix to get a line. Im trying to avoid that.
I have tried the above but its not working.

You'd have to put the lines in separate outgoing line groups and then use different dialing prefixes to indicate which line you want the call to use, eg: prefix 8 for one line and prefix 9 for the other line.

SN: 8N
TN: N
LG: 0
Feature: Dial

SN: 9N
TN: N
LG: 1
Feature: Dial

Are you trying to pre-configure so that a specific dialed number will always go out on a specific line? You can do that, but instead of N as your shortcode put the specific number.

Otherwise go with sizbut's advice, as is or with secondarydialtone added to the mix.

im trying to have one group using 1 group of lines and another group another group of lines. This without prefix.
sizbut is right this i cant do. Gonna put on some prefixes and make 2 restrictions devide it that way.

Thx guys for your time.

If you know exactly who should use which line you could do it through "User Restrictions" without needing prefixes.

Number the outgoing lines Line Group 1 and Line Group 2.

Create a User Restriction set called Line1 and add the short code ? / . / Dial / 1 to it.

Create a User Restriction set called Line2 and add the short code ? / . / Dial / 2 to it.

For the users who should use line 1, set their Restriction (on the User | User tab) to Line1 and ditto for line 2 users.

Thank you siz it works. I tried the same with SC i wrote in the top of this thread, it didnt work:) This does.

Thx again
