Hi, if you visit and click on any car name, select 'equipamiento', and then 'colores' (sorry the site is in spanish) you can see the car in any color you choose. That's easy, just have several jpg's right?

The clever part of this site is that when you open the SWF file from your cache with SWF scanner, there appears to be only one image in it. Is there any way to change to the color of an image in this way? (tint won't do the job because it changes the background color too.)

Perhaps there are several jpg's that I can't find somehow, but it would be useful if there is a trick, any ideas?

Thanks, [thumbsup2]

Peter Neve,

I don't think so ... you can make a colour object, but it acts like a tint, changing the colour of everything, including lines (or entire bitmaps). I think you must be right about the different JPGs.

Hey Peter,

There is only 1 picture file there. I took a look at it and from what I can see, the picture was made into a vector image, either by trace bitmap or by someone manually tracing the picture. Then, they turned the fill into a mc and placed it in a layer under that of the outline, door handles etc. With the fill being an mc, the whole thing can be manipulated in actionscript.

This was a very clever idea, and really cuts down on size! Lumstar
