CHMOD Permission with CFFILE

you have probably uploaded 9a.jpg file from Coldfusion or the web server. The file is owned by the webserver not joseph1. To prevent this, you can setup the permissions (when uploading) via the CFILE tag. Please refer to your CF5 documentation.

note: you can also manipulate files without chmod from coldfusion directly (delete/move/rename etc..).
