Just installed a used BCM50 rel. 1 software. It had previously been used with a PRI T1. The customer has POTS lines coming off of an Integrated T1, so we added (2) Two Port Analog Trunk Keycodes (to support 4 Analog Lines).

When accessing lines 1 or 3 to make a call, there is a loud chirp when the line initially goes off hook. This does not happen on lines 2 or 4. We rolled lines 2 and 1, and the problem stayed with the port not the line.

Anyone aware of any issues like this and how they can be corrected?

There was an issue with Rel 1 of the analog trunk ports blowing out due to higher voltage on the lines. Resolved with replacing the unit.and protecting the ports.

After replacing the card/module, we've been adding 2 watt, 200 ohm resistors to each line. No problems since.

cook1082, Merbac - Thank you. We added an expansion module and 4 port Analog Trumk Module, swung the lines to the module from the processor and no more chirps. The problem is fixed. Thank you for your assistance.
