Hi

Anyone know of any program or online service that can convert simplified chinese into a new font?

Or one that can convert pin-yin into simplified

What I want to end up with is a nice artful chinese word rather than the equivalent of a Times New Roman font.

Thanks!

See Chinese Character Dictionary for one site that returns gifs and/or unicode. Keep in mind that the user would have to have the Chinese font installed to get the effect from fonts. (And as there could be multiple equivalent pinyin expressions, you'd have to pay close attention to the translation).

thanks for the link - i checked it out and it gives the characters but not in graphical form.

The translations aren't a problem, the phrases I will use come from Chinese speakers.

I found anyway that you can just get chinese TTF fonts which does the trick, then I can convert to GIF so all is good.

Thanks for your help Greg
