Chili!Soft ASP script not running.

I have an .asp page, which retrieves data from a table and displays it inside a HTML table. My problem is that the ASP scripts are not running without giving any error. The plain HTML is displayed.
Does anyone know why the ASP script is not running? I am a beginner & this is my first Chili!Soft ASP page.
