child PID dies without us killing it

Hi all,

I have watchguard firebox on our network, I have setup VPN for myself using PPTP. I have given the access and made all the necessary configurations. But am unable to make a connection, my firebox is giving the following logs, please can some one help. I have tried using firebox authentication and nt authentication and get the same problems. The log is as below, all help is appreciated.

You should ditch PPTP and use IPSEC. As for the error, I am not a watchguard guru as I prefer cisco or sonicwall. Do you happen to have a support contract?

Seems to happen when it sets MTU to 1436, or when it attempts to open ports 57 and 20 in the firewall (guess).
