Hi there.
I have an AD Domain setup and have created a child AD domain. The server I dcpromo'd in the child domain, I pointed for DNS at the DNS server in parent domain (which I needed to do to set up child). I assumed (wrongly!) that dcpromo'ing a machine into a sub domain would create a child DNS domain on the 'master' DC of the same name. This was not the case. I've installed DNS on the child domain DC and created a primary zone and set forwarding from this machine to parent for name resolution. This is OK and names can be resolved. I'm getting an error when trying to set a forwarder up from parent to child and also cannot setup a delegation. Can somebody let me know the correct procedure for doing this?
Thanks.
