I sold my business in 1998 - we mfr printed circuit boards for hard drives.

I have since lost a folder on my laptop which was backed up on a Jazz cartridge. The extensions onn the Jazz cartridge are .CTF.

We used Cheyenne for backups back then, probably on Win 95 or 98 platform.

I have been in touch with Computer Associates who gave me a free trial of ARC Serve backup. Unfortunately it is very daunting to me.

Is there anyone out there who can help an old man retrieve some business memories? Currently XP Pro.

Install ARCserve, Device Window, Configure FSD, point it to the directory on the removable disk.

Then Utilities, Scan, Scan all sessions, to find out if it can read it and what sessions are there.

Then either Merge the session you want or Restore by Backup Media to just restore the whole session.
