Checkpoint Secureclient Policy Server issue

When viewing the logs during the connection with a remote office in New Zealand, I get a connection successful message followed immediately by the following error:-

Secureclient failed to communicate with policy server xxxxx at site xxxxx.

As I am fairly new to this does this mean that although the connection was successful I will still not be able to communicate because of no agreed policy and also where would the server be situated.....here in UK or in NZ?
