checkpoint on Window or Linux, which is best?

it depends on where you knowlage is
if you know windows then use that if you know linux use that
the main aspect of what os is how well you know how to harden it.
documentation on hardening each is availible (look through this forum) or look at the phonboy website (
an alternate option if you dont know much about hardening is secure platform (put the CP install CD into the pc and boot)
but from what i understand there are som e support issues when you try and patch it.
as for getting a demo speak to a cp supplier they are usualy very helpful at sending demo CD's
