Checkpoint FW 4.1 License transfer

Hi,
We have a CP FW4.1 with ipso and the management server installed on the same unit. need to transfer a license from one interface (going to be shut down) to another interface on this FW.
I am a bit new to this kind of setup.. work alot with NG R55 and seperate magmnt server. so any advise would be appreciated.
how would i go about doing transferring (detach / attach) the license on a Fw 4.1 setup?
via ssh, telnet or checkpoint GUI.

is it a straight forward process?

I'm sure you can do a 'fw putlic -o'

If I remember the -o option overwrites the previous licence key.

it doesn't matter if the interface is shutdown as long as it's physically still on the platform with the IP, you don't need to change over, but if you have to delete the IP, then stop the fw and then transfer the lic as per the previous post.
