Checkpoint Firewall and AIM/YM/ICQ

Is there a way to use Checkpoint firewall to Block Messenger traffic or monitor who uses messengers and what the conversation is?

my understanding is that it cant as it uses port 80. if it comes accross a blocked port it port hops to another port.

as for monitoring the conversation - sorry no

I think this feature will be added soon. I think I have read something about it. Look into FP3 release notes.
If I find somthing I wil tell you.
