I have a windows 2000 Server with Checkpoint 4.1 SP5 running. Someone told me that there is a bug, that when you reboot the firewall, that the VPN will not work. That is exactly what happened, I can get to the internet, but I cannot accept incoming VPN connections. I am getting weird errors like Bad Block on HD, and database.ndb is corrupt, and magic number ndb is corrupt. Man, what a mess! If anyone knows this fix, i would be thankful!

Thanks!

I figured out why the users could not connect. I needed to do an arp -s on the server because it is doing proxy arp. Now I just have to figure out what this "Bad Block" error is.

I see you figured this out, but I was having the same problem and we discovered that we had the Nachi virus floating in our network which was crashing the firewall. You may want to make sure you'r pc's are clean.

man, that is weird! We had NACHI here just recently. It was rebooting one guys machine, and MSBLASTER.EXE was on the firewall. I used housecall program from trendmicro.com site, it is free! It cleaned it great.

Man, i am having new issues, it seems that there are no GUI tools on my server. I just took over this network, and I am having many problems. We had a bad block on the IDE drive that was running checkpoint, So i had to rebuild from microsoft backup.

I wish i could figure out how to install the GUI tools. Sigh... I had an issue with IPSEC conflicting with checkpoints IPSEC. Now we cannot log onto VPN from the outside. Problems problems!
