I am running checklines on the sales series. In the past this has taken about a hour to process. Today we are going on 4 hours. Does anyone have any idea what might be taking it so long? Is there any place I can look to see what is happening. From what I can tell the process runs on the local system and just does reads and writes to the server, is this correct? Are there any tables that I could look at?

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't recall if it was in the Sales Series, but on GP9, CheckLinks got hung in an infinite loop trying to update a deposit in the CM20201 table. I determined this by looking at the SQL Server Activity monitor, if you double-click the spid and task, it will show you the query being executed. Watch it for a little while and you may notice the same parameters being used repeatedly in different queries.

What was happening in our case was an update statement being executed causing a PK constraint violation on CM20201. I find it troubling that GP is too dumb to trap a SQL Server error (I'm a deveoper and would get fired for writing something that bad.) Anyway, the consultant for our VAR doesn't think it's a problem.
