Hi guys, is this another VMpro only option. The customer is coming from a Norstar NAM and would like to dial in and get their messages.

Thanks, Craig

VMPro or Embedded?

there are a few options:

1) You could add a *17 as a system-wide dtmf breakout for 2 or 3, when users call their own mailbox and hear their greeting hit *2 or *3 to enter own mailbox.
2) build SC of *61 or something, feature = voicemailcollect, telnum = "?". Point did number at ICR with *61 as destination. Dialing DID will ask you to enter extension number and then VM passcode.
3) build same SC as point 2 above, on day and night AA's add unannounced menu option with tranfer to *61.

I've used Greybeard191's #1 suggestion before; works well especially when you have an office with 2-3 phones and lines go straight to receptionist's MB, a la answering machine.

Although I'd suggest using dtmf user-based for those who will use it, to avoid hacking.

I like the dtmf breakout idea, I'll try that. On my own I found creating *981 sc(stuck in Norstar I guess;) )and added that as a hidden option in the AA, I think the dtmf is much cleaner.

Thanks again fellas.

or when a user dials their own DDI and is greeted with their vm - just press *8 to access the mail box.
