checking to see how many times cash drawer opened with no sale

Does anyone know of a way to see how many times the cash drawer was opened or no sales happened? Suspect an employee is not ringing sales just putting cash in drawer and pulling out later

You can use audit reports, but a video security camera system in conjunction works best in that situation.

If this is a bar.
It is hard to tell from no sales only. No CCTV system, then have a ringer come in and sit at the bar and drink near the register during this bartenders peak period of doing this.(as seen in the audit reports)
know the scams that go with this situation, such as stacking quarters (or something similar) for every 3.00 beer not rang and when the stack reaches 5, pull $15 out of the drawer and throw it in the tip drawer.
If not a bar then get a CCTV system.

there is a product out called radiant guard or aloha guard. Gives detail reports of all abnormal activities. This program catches everything possible. Or if you have a dvr system you can get text insertion, so you can see everything they key in.
