Checking the Framerate of a protected swf 1

Is there a way or a tool that will check the the framerate of a protected swf? To save my web users CPU usage I need to make sure that the flash movies I am posting are not setting the framerate too high. For unprotected movies I can go into Flash and under view - bandwidth profiler, I can read the framerate, but it does not work with protected movies -- any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
