We have to disable a very important account but are worried that the account might be associated with some running services. Is there a way to check to see all services that are running under a particular user name or am I forced to go through each service and check the logon tab

thanks!

If you run the services.msc and view the standard tab u should be able to see what acct is logging on under the Log On As column

Yes, and you can do this from your own machine assuming you have those rights in your domain.

When you look at the running services, make the window larger and look at the far-right column. It should be the "Log On As" column. You can sort by this column to see if that user account is being used for any services.

We ran in this a few year back and moved to a generic account that no one uses for anything other than for running services.

Good luck,
