Hello

Can someone suggest a small (Windows) utility or maybe a Telnet script that will accept the IP and port address of Meridian/Symposium Link and simply confirm that it is live (a bit like Ping but specifically confirming Merdian Link is responding). It should be entirely benign - making no changes whatsoever (Idempotent).

This would be sooo useful.

Thanks

On the SCCS / CC6, why don't you use the TFE status and test tool..... smal, graphical, and gives you what you want.

this has been around for a while. Do this on ccms or symposium, whatever you want to call it.

In the registry goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Than go to system, than CurrentControlSet, than services, than vsm services. Click edit, than new, than dword, rename WindowOption and set value to 1.
WindowOption: REG_DWORD: 0X1.

You must stop and start vsm service for this change to take effect. You will than get a window giving the status of elan and mermail/callpilot access link.

Hello and thanks for the rapid response.

Oooops! I should have said that we need to do this test from a "third party" machine (PC) that is on the LAN along with Symposium CC6. This is to prove both the "liveness" of Meridian Link and the network route.

Thanks
