Hi all...
I know this may be an easy question, but I'm going through brain freeze at the moment. I'm in the process of Inventory/Logging workstations on my network. The question is how can I check to see who is currently logged into a workstation remotely. We have 3 remote buildings so physically going to the workstation can be a problem. I know it's something simple, just can't remember what it is, and of course the MS knowledgebase isn't as helpful..

Thanks in advance,
Robo

Hi, one way is to open Server Manager, double click on your PDC, click on users, and it will display a list off all your users currently logged on, and the workstations that they are logged in to. There are probably many other ways too, but this works ok.

Adrian.

You can use nbtstat -a Workstation
where "Workstation" is the computername you wish to log.

Also, on the NT4 ResourceKit there is a "Netwatch" program that simplifies the listing that Server Manager displays.

Sounds like time consuming work for you either way - have fun!
:)

Thanks guys,
this will help out a lot. I forgot all about using nbtstat. I've still got a lot of work ahead of me, but it will help speed things along in the future.

Thanks,
Robo
