Hi all,

I have a little utility that runs at our customer sites. I am trying to add logic into the utility so that it updates itself via the internet. It needs to do the following with now user intervention

1) Check our website for newer versions
2) Download the latest version of itself in the background
3) Restart itself with the newest version

I was thinking of making a windows service to do this but I wasn't sure how to do (2) above.

If anyone knows how i might be able to do this or provide insight on the entire solution I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

You should find that using "No Touch Deployment" solves your problmes

Search for in in the help files.....

and

check out..

This is on a many video presentations demostrating and showing how to do this...

YOu should also find some nice webcasts on the subject on MSDN..

HTH
