Hi! Anybody able to help me with this one?
I want to put a Flash banner on my web-page, which requires the plug-in from Macromedia.
Now - I want anybody that has the plug-in installed, should be able to see it, but if someone does not have the plug- in, (instead of getting the dowload plug-in message which I can easily disable) they should see a regular GIF image in its spot. If neccesary I will make 2 seperate pages.
Can I get a CGI script to check for a plug-in on load?

Likewise, there is a GIF on the page that is beautiful in Explorer but no so in Navigator. Is it possible to hide it totally from Netscape browsers? Please help a.s.a.p.
Thanx

As CGI is ran on the server, the only things it knows about the client is what the client tells about itself. Most browsers do not send the list of plugins, so CGI can't do it. This is really a task you should accomplish using JavaScript. //Daniel
