Is there a way to check for dial tone on a specific loop start port. with out assigning that line to a phone.
Another words. After I put all my lines in their pool group. I want to check for dial tone on "line52" for instance. Is there a feature that i can use.
I am trying to help a customer that is 500 miles a way. All their lines are in pool a And none of the phones have line appearances.

In short, no! The only way to do it in this circumstance is to go into programming and remove the lines one at a time, from POOL A and put them into a pool of their own, say POOL B with a different access code. Give one set access to the other pool and check the lines one at a time. Or just have all of the users select a pool trunk and see if any get NDT after '9'.Time consuming and risky if you have to talk a user through it.
Two things though. Why would you not have RAD access from 500 miles away or at the very least an agreement with a local vendor who can go onsite?
