anyone know how to Check a file for CMYK in Acrobat??? Before i send it out to our customers???

You did not say if you want cmyk or not.

To check for objects that are NOT cmyk, you can go to Document menu/preflight and select "all objects not 4c or spot" and hit analyze.

To check if there's cmyk in the doc if you don't want any, go to Advanced menu/separation preview. If there's no cmyk in doc the values for c, m,y & k will read zero %.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4 & G5

...also in acrobat 7 or 8 pro, you can go to the advanced > print production > output preview, select RGB from the 'Show' pull down menu...
